COO in Fort Myers, Florida
Henderson Franklin, a 50+ attorney general practice firm established in 1924, seeks a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to replace the retiring incumbent who has held the position for 16 years. Firm, with 3 branch offices, has strong regional presence in SW Florida with statewide presence some practice areas. Firm is located in one of the fastest growing regions of the U.S. with year round sunshine and many varied recreational activities.
Position provides strategic management and direction to the firm by serving as ex-officio member of firm's Executive Committee, chairing other firm committees and acting as principal advisor to Managing Attorney.
COO manages, either directly or through direct reports, the firm's overall day-to-day operations in areas of financial management, HR, IT, Marketing, Facilities, Support Services, and Library. Provides input to firm's strategic planning and succession plans.
Successful candidate will have strong managerial and leadership skills. Degree in business (MBA preferred) or finance is required. Strong financial skills a must. Minimum of 5 years' experience in law firm management position of 35 or more attorneys is preferred. Demonstrated ability to successfully delegate tasks when appropriate. Professional certifications, including CLM designation, a plus.
