Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm, has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Director to oversee its San Francisco and Silicon Valley, CA offices. We offer competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.
The Business Director will manage the daily operations and administration for 50 attorneys and 27 business staff employees, closely collaborate with the office's Managing Shareholders and the Firm's Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officers to support and reinforce the culture, provide strong leadership for the strategic initiatives and implement Firm-wide objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Business Director will include collaboratively managing accounting/finance/revenue management functions, human resources, attorney recruiting, office budgeting, marketing, technology support, records management, expansion and renovations efforts and facilities management. This senior role requires a strategic leader who is an innovative thinker with a natural ability to influence and motivate others and who will lead by example.
Skills & Competencies
The Director's business acumen must include uncompromising integrity, sound leadership experience, excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, a keen approach to problem-solving, and the ability to effectively manage change. Must be willing to directly engage where and when needed to support office operational functions, create and foster a collegial environment of teamwork and esprit de corps. A highly motivated individual, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications & Prior Experience
We seek a professional with a Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience, and a minimum 10 years experience in a management or leadership position in a professional services organization. This key role requires an individual with a strong working knowledge of accounting and finance practices to manage the affairs of the offices. The successful candidate must have strong business experience in finance, human resources, marketing, technology, and facilities management.
