Law Firm Administrator (PLA level-Remote in California-LA/OC area strongly desired)

Come be part of a growing start up!!  This role is open to Los Angeles and Orange County area candidates and is fully remote.  Highly qualified candidates outside of this area but residing in CA will be considered.

Who You Are

Experienced: You've spent at least 7 years managing law firm operations and have overseen teams of 10 or more. You've successfully navigated the complexities of both small and mid-sized firms and have experience working in remote-first environments.  You have grown a law firm from around $2 million to $10+ million.

Educated and Certified: A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor's degree is preferred. Having a Certified Legal Manager (CLM) certification would be a significant advantage, showcasing your deep understanding of law firm administration.

Tech-Savvy: You're proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and are quick to learn and adapt to new technologies. You're also well-versed in legal office procedures, document management systems, and legal practice management software like Clio.

What You'll Do

Lead and Inspire: You'll supervise and lead a team of non-attorney staff, handling everything from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and termination. You'll provide mentorship and guidance to help the team achieve company and client goals, all while fostering a culture built on company values.

Strategic Partner: As a key member of the leadership team, you'll collaborate with the CEO, CFO, and Managing Attorney to develop and execute strategic plans. You'll drive initiatives related to revenue, budgeting, and staffing, ensuring that the firm's long-term objectives are met.

Operations Whiz: You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the firm, managing workflow, case support, billing, and vendor relationships. You'll ensure that all aspects of the business run smoothly, from virtual facility management to trust/retainer management. Additionally, you'll manage the firm calendar, making sure that tasks and deliverables are completed on time.

Client and Vendor Management: You'll handle relationships with vendors and support operational needs, including technology and office administration. You'll also oversee the Potential New Client (PNC) process, ensuring a positive experience for new clients from start to finish.

Project Management: You're organized and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively. You have a proven track record of managing budgets of $5 million or more and driving key performance indicators (KPIs).

Communication: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and you're able to convey ideas clearly and effectively. You maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all interactions.

Adaptability: You thrive in a dynamic environment and are comfortable managing change. Whether it's refining billing procedures or developing new operating procedures, you're always looking for ways to improve and grow.

Salary: $160,000-$180,000
