Foster Garvey PC, one of the Paci?c Northwest's leading law ?rms, is seeking a skilled and dynamic HR Manager to join our team and support our employee relations, recruiting efforts, training, and development. The successful candidate will possess proven strong employee relations, sta?ng and training and development skills. They will also be outgoing, positive, and a team player whose expertise will contribute to building a high-performing team and maintaining a healthy firm culture. The HR Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment, ensuring the well-being of our employees, and attracting top talent to the organization. Working collaboratively with the Chief People Officer and the HR Department, the HR Manager will be responsible for managing various aspects of employee relations, performance management, and the full recruitment lifecycle.

This is a full-time, exempt position. The position is located in Seattle, Washington and requires an in the office presence. Depending on experience, there is flexibility on the title.

Responsibilities:

•    Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent aligned with the firm's values and culture.
•    Source candidates through various channels, such as job boards, social media, referrals, and professional networks.
•    Conduct prescreen interviews to assess candidate qualifications and make informed hiring recommendations to the hiring manager(s).
•    Serve as a point of contact for employees to address their concerns and conflicts.
•    Assist with investigations and resolve employee issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of firm policies and procedures.
•    Collaborate with senior management to proactively address workplace challenges and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
•    Coach and advise supervisors and managers on handling employee relations matters and maintaining a productive team.
•    Conduct employee exit interviews to gather valuable feedback from departing employees about their overall experience with the firm, reasons for leaving, and insights into areas of improvement.
•    Assist with the performance management process, including setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing feedback to employees.
•    Identify performance improvement opportunities and develop appropriate action plans to enhance employee performance.
•    Coach and support supervisors and managers in conducting performance reviews and creating development plans for their team members.
•    Stay up to date on relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry best practices, ensuring the firm's HR policies and practices are in compliance.
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
•    Collaborate with the HR team to design and implement employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and professional development opportunities.
•    Support the development of career paths and succession planning strategies to nurture talent within the firm.

•    Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.

•    Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
•    Ability to build effective working relationships with employees at all levels.
•    A strategic thinker with the ability to identify and address HR challenges proactively.

Education and Experience:

•    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
•    Prior Supervisory Experience required.
•    Training and Development experience a plus.
•    4-8 years’ experience as an HR Generalist or similar role preferred.
•    Experience in a law firm or professional services environment is a plus.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software programs.
•    HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.

Salary Range

The pay range for this position is $120,000-$170,000 annually; however, actual pay may vary depending on the candidate's education, training, experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
